CLASS DESCRIPTION
Instructor Michael Staczar takes reality-based approach to the craft of auditioning and the "business" of marketing yourself for a theater career. Participants in his workshops gain valuable knowledge and experience while studying such topics as How to Define Your Type and Market You; Making Your Entrance (and Exit) and Impression; Audition Monologues and How to Choose The Right One(s); The Monologue Text and 5 Technical Points; How to Prepare For Cold Readings as well as a variety of other skills. You should not miss this opportunity to hone your audition technique, refine your ability to make a lasting impression, and better your chances of getting that part!
Suitable for adults over 18 who are not currently enrolled in college theatre classes and who have some professional acting experience. Seasoned professionals with extensive experience will also find this class valuable.

INSTRUCTOR BIO
MICHAEL STACZAR, Associate Professor of Theatre at the University of Tampa, serves as the Director of the Theatre Studies and Co-Director of the Performing Arts (Musical Theatre) Program. As a stage director and choreographer, he has directed more than fifty productions in the Tampa Bay area. He also directed THE DRESSING ROOM by Gorilla Theatre's own Susan Hussey, at the Judith Anderson Theater in New York. A professional actor himself, he understands the importance of strong audition skills. For more than twelve years, he has taught career development and acting/audition techniques.
